Always interested as a child in saving and investments, Crystal recently rejoined Law & Associates Wealth Management and Planning after previously being with the firm for almost 20 years. She loves talking to everyone and likes to say that she has “no sense of stranger danger.” Her appreciation for others, blended with her lifelong passion for financial wellness, has made helping others forge a path to a sound financial future a way of life for Crystal.
Crystal has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner since 1996 having graduated from the College of Financial Planning’s CFP® program. She is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst CDFA™ and a Certified Retirement Counselor CRC®. She is a registered representative with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. and holds the designation of Investment Management Consultant from Raymond James’ Institute of Investment Management Consulting (IIMC). She holds a Maryland license for life, health and variable life insurance. In addition to spending nearly 20 years at Law & Associates, Crystal has served in several key leadership roles including Director of Financial Planning at a prominent wealth management firm with offices in Columbia and Salisbury. She also holds an adjunct faculty position at Howard Community College.
Crystal speaks at industry conferences and has appeared as a financial planning guest on multiple national broadcasting shows. As a leader in the profession, she has been featured in various publications and most recently was inducted into the Baltimore Community Foundation’s Professional Advisor Recognition Society. Her volunteer board involvement includes the Financial Planning Association of Maryland (Chair 2018), Association of African American Financial Advisors (Advisory Council/Past President) and Howard County Police Foundation (Director). Crystal is also a graduate of Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program and a women’s ministry team leader for her church in Columbia.
Raised by a phenomenal single Mom, Crystal has been inspired by her Mom and proudly carries on her legacy – her love for family. Crystal loves spending time with her husband and best friend, Dennis. Both are proud parents as their son is currently in the United States Navy and stationed overseas. She also enjoys spending time with her young great-nephew and great-niece. A native of Baltimore, Crystal has always had a “pay it forward” attitude, participating in extensive pro bono work, immersing herself in community activities and making a difference wherever possible. She is also a devoted champion of diversity and inclusion.
